Hi Alice,
First of all, I'd like to comment on the covers of the books. They are perfect. A picture does say a thousand words! Even before I read the book, all sorts of ideas come to mind about the story. What really draws me are the items. One being the Umbrella. So many things it can symbolize. Now you could have had the umbrella again in the next book, but you didn't. You have a cake carrier. Very nice! Matches the title.
When I picked up a copy and read some pages, I hear your voice telling it. Looking forward to reading the whole thing.
